Bridget Catherine Regan (born February 3, 1982; San Diego County, California) is an American film, television and theater actress, best known for her portrayal of Kahlan Amnell in the television series Legend of the Seeker.[2]

Since 2006, she has appeared in several movies and television shows. Her filmography includes The Wedding Album, Blinders, Supreme Courtships, The Babysitters and the Sex and the City movie. She also had guest appearances on the TV shows Love Monkey, Law & Order: Criminal Intent, American Experience, Six Degrees, The Black Donnellys and New Amsterdam.[3]
In 2008, Regan began filming Legend of the Seeker, a television show based on Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series. She portrays Mother Confessor Kahlan Amnell.
In 2009, Regan ventured into producing[4] Camp Wanatachi, a musical that will be running in New York at La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club in January 2011.[5]
Bridget Regan grew up in an Irish American and Catholic[6] family. She began acting as a child in North County productions of The Wizard of Oz at the La Paloma Theatre and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat[7] in her hometown of Carlsbad, California.
Graduated from University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Her natural hair is red and curly. Dyed her hair dark brown and chemically straightened for Legend of the Seeker.
Regan has become close friends with her Legend of the Seeker cast-mate, Tabrett Bethell.[8][9]
On the 28th of December 2010 she announced via Twitter the birth of her first daughter. Stating: "I've been keeping a little secret of what I've been up to the past nine months.. I'm so proud and excited to announce the birth of our daughter, Frankie Jean. She's beautiful, happy, healthy and we're so in love. xo" [10]
